  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chopped fresh plums (pitted and diced)

For Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder


  • Prepare AVIAS Ceres Pressure Cooker:
      • Remove the gasket and the whistle from the Avais best pressure cooker. Grease the inside of the cooker with butter or oil.

    • Preheat the Pressure Cooker:
      • Place a small stand or a metal ring at the bottom of the cooker. Preheat it on low flame for 10 minutes.

    • Prepare the Batter:
      • In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
      • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
      • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the yogurt. Mix until just combined.
      • Stir in the vanilla extract.
      • Gently fold in the chopped plums.
    • Layer the Cooker:
    • Top with Sugar and Cinnamon:
      • In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.
      • Sprinkle this mixture over the batter in the cooker.

    • Bake in the Cooker:
      • Place the cooker on the preheated stand inside the larger cooker.
      • Close the lid without the gasket and the weight (whistle).
      • Bake on low flame for about 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

    • Cool and Serve:
      • Once done, let the cake cool in the cooker for 10 minutes.
      • Use a knife to loosen the edges of the cake and carefully remove it from the cooker.
      • Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
