Janmashtami special Mathura Peda Recipe
Janmashtami, the celebration of Lord Krishna's birth, is a significant Hindu festival celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion in Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna, and other parts of India. Mathura Peda is a special sweet that holds a unique significance during Janmashtami for several reasons. So today we will see how to make special mathura peda at home
-2 cups of milk powder
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 2-3 tbsp of ghee (clarified butter)
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder
- Chopped pistachios for garnish
- Rose Petals for garnish
Instructions:
Step-1. In Avias’s stainless steel pan, add 1-2 tbsp of ghee and let it melt over low heat. Step-2. Once the ghee is melted, add 2 cups of milk powder and roast until brown
Step-3. Add 1/4 tsp of cardamom powder and 1 tbsp of ghee
Step-4. Add 1/2 cup of milk and mix well
Step -5. Now Turn off the heat and let it cool down
Step-6. Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and mix well
Step-7. Now Take a small portion of the mixture and roll it between your palms to form a smooth peda.
Step-8. slightly coat the pedas with some more powderd sugar and Garnish with chopped pistachios and some rose petals
